Romantic Beige Sand Beaches Near Mayon Volcano

  We were entranced... We sailed the eastern seas off the coast of Albay Province for our weekend getaway. Every time we see a beige sand beach common in the area, the enigmatic Mayon Volcano peers over the scenery. There were many of these beaches, appearing every once in a while, with the dazzling volcano in each and every view. I will never forget this past weekend for each turn had a magnificent scene looming in the horizon --- from isle to isle, from coast to coast, from beach to beach! Regardless of mood or circumstance, it remains? And when it fades because of a tweak here or there, it is but a mirage? I guess I’ve felt what it’s supposed to be – for ladies I cannot be with. It’s the emotion I feel when I see someone to be perfect or perfectly beautiful despite the flaws because for no reason but love, her allegorical scars – the mistakes of God – are forgiven. The feeling doesn’t change. It's a constancy of company and connection, a perspective that endures day by day, moment by moment, even after years or decades passing by. Because I see her in exactly the same way as the day we met, and the more we get to know each other, I unravel more things I like about her, all justifying the imperfections, and giving me memories that add spice to mundane moments. September 2023.  My birthmonth, my birthyear. I was born in the year of the Hare so I needed to make 2023, another year of the Hare, special. As I had never been out of the country, I decided to finally make that long-awaited "first trip" on my birthyear. It happens once every twelve years so why not make it special? My first time past Immigration! So many countries were considered. Spain and Portugal came to mind. Thailand seemed plausible. Nearby Indonesia's fantastic architecture were tempting, and because Singapore was close enough, it was also suggested. Malaysia came into the radar too. But, not until visas were approved or airline tickets were bought, nothing was final. And then - out of the blue - I heard my aunt and sister talk about a possible Euro Tour on no other month but September ... Siena, the Gothic City 🇮🇹

Our next destination was Siena, a medieval city adorned with Gothic structures. During our walking tour, we marveled at the city's beauty and fascinating history and culture. It was a nice start for our Tuscan Country tour, setting the pace and mood for the rest. Though Siena is, by now, reduced into a small city, barely inching up from its 50,000-population during its heyday, it is by no means an ordinary town. It remains grand and special in so many ways.  En Route from Florence Mama Sarah and I just behind the Train Station as we waited for our bus. Our Tuscan Country tour began just outside the Santa Maria Novella Train Station in the middle of a huge piazza in Florence. We waited for our bus, which would take us to our next destinations - Siena, San Gimignano, and Pisa. Davide, the tour guide, was punctual even though he lost his voice due to drinking and partying the night before. Our Dancing Queen 👑

  Young and sweet. Only seventeen. That is our dancing queen, our sweet and beautiful mother. She can dance, she can jive... Having the time of her life... Our mother was born on May 3rd, 1954. She was originally named " Maria Cruz Venus Mapusao " but our lola changed her mind when our mum kept falling sick. The name sounded ominous as it reminded them of the "cross" so she was renamed " Nancy ," a name that sounds simple and easy-breezy. Excited for her first dancing party after the pandemic. February 2021 Our mother is celebrating her seventeenth birthday today somewhere in Japan so she is not dancing with her friends and buddies as she would usually do on Saturdays. As you can see, our mum loves dancing, and "Dancing Queen" is one of her all-time favorite songs. She would always sing this song on Karaoke or Magic Sing. All the time.
