It's the Advent Season once again! By far, it is my most favorite season of the year... The anticipation of that one grand celebration followed by the climax of New Year's Eve make it very special to me...

It brings inexplicable joy which has inspired me to write four poems about it in the last few years. As I go along my life, I will definitely write more...

  We were entranced... We sailed the eastern seas off the coast of Albay Province for our weekend getaway. Every time we see a beige sand beach common in the area, the enigmatic Mayon Volcano peers over the scenery. There were many of these beaches, appearing every once in a while, with the dazzling volcano in each and every view. Awesome Osaka 🍥

Shinsaibashi Shopping District in the heart of Osaka Our first stop was Osaka. We arrived at Kansai International Airport at about 30 minutes after sunset. It was comfortably warm inside but, after stepping out, we immediately felt the cold winds embracing us like crazy. It was my first time to experience 12 degrees. Ironically, I was able to withstand the cold by just wearing my IBP jacket. Took a selfie to prove that IBP jacket was enough for 12 degrees 😅 What can I say about Osaka? It's a huge metropolitan city. I thought it was just some city. It's actually so huge, it could be bigger than Metro Manila. I didn't check and compare the two cities anymore because I'm that lazy. What I'm saying is, Osaka is huge. Train to Osaka from Kansai Airport Because of this, I felt that I will not be a hundred percent here and I would not be in my element. The 7 Tiers of Escaldera Falls

Busay Falls  in Malilipot, Albay  is a misnomer. After all, busay   already means falls  in the local vernacular. One local who regularly jogs her way to the place castigated me for referring to this magnificent falls as such. "It is not Busay Falls," she would insist. I forgot the name she mentioned as it was spelled differently from how she pronounced it. We have not been seeing each other for a few weeks now and has since stopped communicating so I forgot about it. When my friend and I visited the falls, we were astounded by the many secrets it has kept. Right off the bat, the one thing I was most interested at is its mysterious name. I asked so many locals, from the tourists to the caretakers. Nobody knows. Until finally, one woman remembers. She wrote the name on a tiny piece of tissue paper. Escaldera Falls . Siena, the Gothic City 🇮🇹

Our next destination was Siena, a medieval city adorned with Gothic structures. During our walking tour, we marveled at the city's beauty and fascinating history and culture. It was a nice start for our Tuscan Country tour, setting the pace and mood for the rest. Though Siena is, by now, reduced into a small city, barely inching up from its 50,000-population during its heyday, it is by no means an ordinary town. It remains grand and special in so many ways.  En Route from Florence Mama Sarah and I just behind the Train Station as we waited for our bus. Our Tuscan Country tour began just outside the Santa Maria Novella Train Station in the middle of a huge piazza in Florence. We waited for our bus, which would take us to our next destinations - Siena, San Gimignano, and Pisa. Davide, the tour guide, was punctual even though he lost his voice due to drinking and partying the night before. Splendid, colorful Mellifluous, flavorful Everything is dazzling Everything is amazing! These are the beautiful things That the splendid Yuletide Season brings But they all emanate from one thing --- A matter that is fascinating!
